About chipdesign.dk

Denmark has one of the most concentrated chip-design communities in Europe — and almost nowhere that maps it. chipdesign.dk exists to make that ecosystem visible: the companies, the people, and the stories behind decades of Danish silicon.

Why we built it

The Danish chip-design scene is deep but quiet. Talent is spread across hearing aids, audio, RF, networking, EDA and the universities that feed them, and much of the best work disappears into products and acquisitions without ever being told as a single story. We wanted one place where a company can find a partner, a policymaker can see the sector at a glance, and a student can discover that world-class chip design happens here at home.

chipdesign.dk is an independent, community-minded project — a living directory and a set of stories that we keep current. If something is missing, wrong, or out of date, we want to hear about it (see below).

The people behind it

Writing & storytelling

Heidi shapes the words and the stories on chipdesign.dk — turning a dense, jargon-heavy field into something an investor, a policymaker or a curious student can actually read. The site's voice and its success stories are hers.
